Meet Gary Delia, Founder/CEO of Home Performance Alliance
When Gary Delia founded Home Performance Alliance (HPA) in 2011, he was already viewed as an expert in the home improvement industry. Delia began his career in Pennsylvania with Appleby Systems, one of the most respected home improvement companies. After 14 years with the firm, he and his family relocated to Florida where he worked as a consultant prior to launching HPA. Due to several severe and damaging hurricane seasons in the past decade, the state of Florida enacted multiple building code changes. Home insurers and code authorities viewed windows as the weakest link in protecting a home during severe weather and thus enacted new building codes requiring all newly installed windows have higher design pressure (DP) ratings .
